Proposed Seminar on Standard of Care
I would like to propose that CLSA sponsor a seminar on Standard of Care. I would be willing to participate. I would also like to ask the following individuals to consider joining me:
Dave Woolley
Warren Smith
Evan Page
William Magee
It is not my intent to exclude anyone so if there is additional interest, please respond to this posting. I propose each us address separate aspects of this topic and then all join together for a panel discussion. We should be able to present this at least three times across the state.
I have attached my outline. I would also propose that we also discuss Ethics as it relates to land surveying.
Is there any interest?

Please, let's not forget Agreed Boundary Doctrine - another topic and another workshop.

Sounds like a great idea and I have talked to others up here in the Bay Area who are interested in this too.
As I have been involved in planning seminars in the past, I would be willing to help out with the coordination and planning for a site up in the Bay Area.

I know it might be hard from some of the long-winded posters to edit, but why not offer it as a CLSA Webinar? It doesn't seem like it needs to be a full day or half day seminar.

Do you honestly think a one hour webinar would cover all? I for one do not think that is feasible.dedkad wrote:I know it might be hard from some of the long-winded posters to edit, but why not offer it as a CLSA Webinar? It doesn't seem like it needs to be a full day or half day seminar.
It will take an hour to introduce and justify the qualifications of those participating.
I see a potential multi topic seminar in the works. Besides it's always better to get additional information and you could use the time for the CLSA PDP, or continuing education hours if your license requires time.

I would like to see this at the 2019 CLSA Conference. It sounds like an awesome topic for regional discussion.

I can see this being a half-day seminar, at a minimum. I am developing an outline and need to work with the other speakers.
