Here are some photos of a recent snow survey we completed up on the Sierra crest; I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate National Surveyors Week!

Dude, that is CA. Based on photo No. 2, I would say in close proximity to Sugar Bowl Ski Resort.

You're right on with the close proximity call, the shot was taken on top of Crows Nest. Here's a few more photos for your viewing pleasure. It's always interesting cutting turns through wind buffed snow with 100K worth of equipment on your back.
